Pros: lots of media options (pics, voice, vid, etc.). Templates make it easy to design. Brings content alive!
Cons: Potential for slow loading, especially videos. Some browsers did not seem to support Glogster.
My goal this year in my US I class was to try a different approach to teaching the causes of the Civil War. As always, I am looking to utilize a student centered approach to learning. I decided to give Glogster a shot (see student example below). My students were issued the following challenge: Using a multi-media platform (Glogster) trace the seminal moments and steps along the path to our country's greatest crisis. Pros: lots of media options (pics, voice, vid, etc.). Templates make it easy to design. Brings content alive! Cons: Potential for slow loading, especially videos. Some browsers did not seem to support Glogster.
