Pros: Excellent organizational tool. Kids love the designing element. New templates make it easy to create and publish!
Cons: Getting to kids to move away from "slide" mentality of PPT
Before the holiday break, I had my students address the following Essential Question: How did a bunch of ordinary Americans pull off extraordinary things during the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s? They were to focus on the Freedom Riders and The Greensboro Sit-Ins. I wanted my kids to use Prezi as a tool to address this question. Below is a an example of one of the submissions. By utilizing Prezi, the kids were able to demonstrate their understanding of the historical context/relevance, while also learning how to design and create a multi-media presentation. Pros: Excellent organizational tool. Kids love the designing element. New templates make it easy to create and publish! Cons: Getting to kids to move away from "slide" mentality of PPT
